Statement of Responsibility for Board Candidates:
Servings as a member of the Board of Directors for Forest Cove Homeowners Association is a role of great responsibility, trust, and opportunity. As a candidate you should be prepared to:
Familiarize Yourself with the Governing Documents: Board members must review and understand the associations’s governing documents, including the bylaws, covenants, conditions and restirations as well as any relevant policies or procedures.
Adhere to the Bylaws: Decisions and actions must align with the bylaws and governing documents to ensure fairness, consistency and legal compliance.
Prioritize Interests of the HOA: Personal interests or agendas must not influence your actions. Board members are stewards of the community and must make decisions that will benefit the HOA as a whole.
Maintain Fiscal Responsibility: Act as a prudent financial steward of the association’s funds, ensuring that association fees are managed responsibly and spent in a way that supports the community’s needs, maintains property values, and adheres to the approved budget.
Commit to Ethical Governance: Uphold integrity, professionalism, and transparency in all board actions.
Engage with the Community: Actively communicate with homeowners, address their concerns, and maintain and open dialogue to foster trust and inclusivity.
Embrace Collaboration: Work respectfully and productively with other board members to achieve the shared goals and advance the collective interests of the community.
